I'm after a 65-80+ inch television to replace/supplement my 50 inch Panasonic plasma which is now 7 years old and works perfectly :)
Main considerations:
- Good quality picture
- major brand eg Panasonic, Samsung, Sony, LG
- to be used for movies/tv and similar - No gaming
- Smarts aren't necessary as I have a WDTV to access movies etc, a Chromecast and an Apple TV to access other online stuff
- 3D is not a priority
- speakers aren't a priority as I have an good sound system and speakers to connect to.
- in the OzBargain tradition - extreme value for money - price has to be under $2500 :)
Thoughts on the Sony KDL70W850B 70 inch currently advertised by JB HiFi for $2548??
