And I got the Legendary Edition for ~$9 from Funstock Digital last month too. Definitely worth waiting, especially at these inflated Aussie Steam Store prices.
I suppose this is more for people who want to buy straight from Steam since there are many stories of people getting cheaper Steam keys than usual just to then find their copies of the game removed a while later.
75% markup on vanilla Skyrim:( And 25% on the DLCs and legendary edition. Bethesda, your Australia tax is making me very unhappy.
I'm not sure about the base game but Amazon US is selling the Legendary Edition at $40 so for $17 I think that's really about 66% discount.
And I really don't think legit base game would be selling at $8 as regular price if that's what you're saying.
I'm really tempted, have an old dodgy copy and these days I'm going legit (plus get the addons)
Even trawling through the previous deals, at $16USD for Legendary doesn't seem THAT much more expensive, especially considering it's direct through Steam rather than third parties.

I recommend that people at least purchase the base game. It is definitely worth $5 on sale. I don't think SKSE (the Skyrim Script Extended, required for many mods) works on hacked Skyrim executables. The DLCs themselves, like all free mods, have no protection though, just 2 files per DLC that Steam places in your Data directory.
Took the plunge and got it.
The mods are pretty cool, installed some High Res packs, makes it look even more awesome!
Bought legendary, Steam makes it easy to find anytime in future.
