US PSN - Free PS4 Games and How to Set up a US PSN Account

For all the proud new PS4 owners or just people curious about the US PSN store - Prices on there are generally cheaper compared to the AU PSN store.

Instructions below are to set up a SEN account which encompasses access to PSN, Music Unlimited, Video Unlimited and PlayMemories.

I have only used it to access the PSN store so can't confirm if Music and Video work

Free Games

  1. Warframe
  2. DC Universe Online Free-To-Play
  3. Blacklight Retribution
  4. Pinball Arcade
Set up US SEN Account
  1. Go to - US SEN
  2. Click Create Account at top right corner
  3. Enter your information on the first screen, select Oregon as your state and continue
  4. Come up with an online id and continue
  5. Fill in more personal details and security question then continue
  6. Fill in your address as follows: Address Line 1 - SW Morrison Street; City - Portland; State - Oregon; Zip Code - 97204 and continue
  7. Do not provide your credit card details unless it is a US issued card, select No and continue
  8. Decide on your notification preferences and finish!

You now have a US SEN account which is registered in Oregon, one of the five states that do not charge a sales tax. You can now load the free games into your cart and checkout. You will also discover that you live in the only 5 star Hotel in Oregon :)

If you want to load money in the PSN to buy games as digital downloads, you can do so by purchasing Playstation Store Gift Cards/Codes from eBay (easiest but more expensive) or from Amazon (cheaper but you need to provide a US Billing Address.

I have used a 28 Degrees card and changing the billing address to the one used above to sign up or alternatively you can purchase a Load & Go from Australia Post - this has the ability to specify a billing address which can be a US address)

They are not the cheapest all the time, good alternatives I have used include play-asia and ozgameshop.

    This should be a forum post. And those ps4 games are also free on the Aus psn store.

      If that is the case my noobness is showing - first post. I signed into my AU PSN account to get the free Theme Hospital but didn't find the above titles as free there.

      Could the Mod please move this or delete if required? Thanks.

      Just got a PS4 and took some time to find the above information so thought it might be useful for the Destiny bundle buyers…but as above, please move or delete as required :)

    No deal. These are free2play games and are also available on AU store.

      That should be linked to every PS4 deal to be published..

    OP have a look under the 'free to play' section of the AU store; games like Warframe have in game item/currency so the base game is free (and always has been).

    Didnt mean for the above to read snarky; never hurts to have a guide for people who need it.

      No problem, didn't realise that. Once I added the Theme Hospital deal it just spiraled from there.

      I did a search for games priced "low to high" and it didn't turn up. Now I have managed to find the "free to play" section and its all there.

      Think I shall stick to up voting deals I make use of and playing the games that I buy. Not really interested in games that have in game purchases..
