LG G3 or OPO?

Hey guys,

Been looking at grabbing one of the phones from this 15% off ebay deal and i can't make a decision on which of these two phones to get.

The OPO is 100$ cheaper but has no removable battery, and is reported to sometimes have issues regarding the screen discoloration and in some instances, charging problems.

The LG G3 is compatible with the new 4g network that telstra and optus will be rolling out and has a removable battery. It also appears to have a better camera. But it has been reported that it has overheating problems.

Anyone had experience with both or either in regards to any of these issues? or just advice in general?

  • I would go with the Oneplus One, because according to the authoritative website
    http://www.anandtech.com/tag/smartphones
has noted overheating problems affecting both the Samsung S5 (due to the process of waterproofing etc trapping in the processors heat) and the LG G3 (due to the processor workload required for such a high definition screen causing greater heat emission). Overheating adversely affects the performance of the processor. So you end up "cutting your nose to spite your face." Previously I was very much inclined to the high quality of the HTC One or HTC One(M8). To see the quality of their reviews see

I will often be guided by this advice. Sometimes a cheaper phone/hand-me-down is better in case you loose it.
I did buy a OPO 64 today. It has an Australian warranty and it was purchased thru paypal, so any problems should be covered.

  • If that 100 is really material go for the OPPO, otherwise G3 - smaller size, wireless charging add on, expandable memory. I'd think you can't go wrong with either though.
