Washing Machine Blew up - Need help to find a good deal for new one

Hi Fellow Oz Bargainers,

My Washing Machine decided to stop working in the weekend after 6 years of loyal service. Now need to buy a new one. I want to find a good deal to buy replacement. I saw below post which is a good price when price matched from Masters. But it's only open for guys in Perth. Can't price match in Melbourne, Vic.

If it blew up couple of month back I would look for a good model/brand to buy. However money is bit tight at the moment. So I am happy to settle on an OK one if the price is very good. Something similar to above post would be perfect. But in Vic I am out of luck. I can wait for a week or so and go to a coin laundry if I have to wait for a deal.

What would be the best option available in Vic currently. Any suggestions/comments appreciated.

Cheers.

This is a good deal but $700 is too high at this time. Looking for something around 500.
Requirement - 7-8 kg, front loader

  • Bought a 8kg Sharp Washing Machine for the inlaws for $500 at Masters when they were having a sale ~4-5 months ago. Good machine, enough for me to buy one for my parents.

1400 rpm and they have a 15min quick wash for say a couple of pieces of laundry.

See if they will drop it from $600 to the sales price of $500.

Otherwise, I also have one brand new unopened currently in storage (purchased thinking my parents' machine was on it's way out but is still working). Make me a reasonable offer if you want.

    • Thank you for the the information and offer too. I will first see if I can get a deal from Masters as that'll give me the full warranty. If not I will think of making an offer. Delivery would be a problem too. I will seriously think about it. Thanks again.

      • @rmamila I am also looking for the same washing machine, could you tell me if they reduced it to $500?
        thanks

Found a deal. This might not be the best but for the moment this is good enough as I want to buy it quickly.
There is a deal on appliances online for a Samsung 7.5kg for 629 which includes delivery and fixing as well. However at Masters the same model is 639 but they don't provide delivery. If you have a way to deliver it free in your own car it can work out to be a deal. I got it price beaten from Masters and the final price is 566.10 (629 - 62.90). So after $100 cashback from Samsung it'll be $466 which is a good price for this model. Below are the links. For cashback you need to buy it before 28th September. So be quick to buy it in the weekend and apply for the cashback within 14 days.

  • Hey JB1, I managed to get the Samsung one for 566 and after cashback it'll be 466. So that's not bad with 2 year warranty. Thank you for your offer.
