Hi I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a phone holder that attaches on to the cars windscreen with decent suction and able to hold the note 3. I've never bought a car mount holder because of stories about loss of suction etc. However I'm hoping I can find a decent one at a cheapish price

Yeah didn't have problem with it using it couples of time a week even with cold weather. It's better than the one I got from NRMA insurance https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/103774 which died with couples of weeks.
For me, there is no way I will pay $39 for phone holder

around 4 to 5 months, the quality feels good. I wasn't expect that for $2 item
RAM mounting kits. Is costly one time, if you find the correct attachments it should be a multi-fit for any phone within that size. Is sturdy, won't fall off ever….and holds my Note 3 just fine :)
Having RAM mounts on my motorbike, I can vouch for their sturdyness.
Have you seen the magnet mounting kit from Logitech ? i bought it from dicksmith when they had the sale for 30 bucks. they said its for a iphone 5/5s but you can use any phone.. i give you the link
