I'm looking for a car loan for about $20K (if you know of any that are good and cheap, i'd love to hear from you). What I am asking about though, is what freebies can I get for getting the loan?! I'm thinking Velocity or Qantas frequent flyer points or other bonuses.

Thanks for that. Unfortunately, their rates are almost double the going rate! Having said that, for 30,000 points it would be a cheapish buy for the difference in interest…
Getting a loan for a car comes with no bonuses sorry . Debt for depreciating asset = :-( in my opinion.
This is true BUT not every story is the same. I had a car on a novated lease with a company and when I left the company I had to take the car with me because I novated my own lease. So I either pay it all off with my own money (of which I don't have enough) or get a loan to pay it off…This is why i figured I might as well try and get something back
Better off go and look for a cheap loan than FF points and the like - you are paying for it one way or the other.
Speak to your new employer the possibility of taking on a new novated lease supplier? Don't like your chances but worth asking which could save you $$$.

Unfortunately, I need the loan now and don't have the luxury of using a HISA to save. I have the car in my possession (see story in comment above).
30,000 velocity points for a $20k+ loan via Aussie home loans (less points for lower loan amounts), refer Velocity website. Not sure of others off the top of my head
