Apparently whoever edited the article wasn't a genious because the ad shows you buying a Gillette Mach 3 cartridge pack for $14.04 then getting your free Gillette Fusion Razor which uses completely different blades, I assume they've done this because their Fusion Blades are a lot more expensive making the deal less attractive. But hey, if you need a new razor like me, it's probably a pretty good deal. Or if you know someone who uses a Mach 3 razor go and offer to pick up a 4 pack of cartridges for him out of the pure generosity of your heart, then keep the free Fusion - BARGAIN! :)

    I'd like to think it's just a picture error on the catalog, hopefully you should be able to get the cartridges for the same razor.

    I've been using the Gillette Fusions since that 'free sms offer' from priceline, they give a pretty good shave! and a lot less time consuming compared to my electric shaver… their marketing strategy worked, I'll probably buy this offer as long as you can get Fusions for the cartridges.

    i think the strategy is to get u to go from Mach 3 to the new fusion razors (more expensive razors)

      Yes as Stix says the headline specifically states "ANY Gillette Men's Cartridges" so I'm sure you'll be fine otherwise it's false advertising. They do after all want to move everyone onto the more expensive product don't they. And lets face it, it's working, just about every guy I know uses Fusion Razors now. I'd love a bargain deal on the cartridges themselves but sadly Gillette almost never have a good sale on those.

    Are the blades swappable? As in can i just buy fusion razors to put on my mach 3 razor? (if they are indeed so good)?

      No .. Fusion has 5 blades whereas Mach3 has 3.
      And no matter what M.Clarke, R.Federer or Tiger Woods reckon
      I'm sticking to my Mach3 , even Sensor Excel gives me a better shave than Fusion

        Fair enough, I was thinking of switching back to the Mach 3 myself but now with this deal I'll probably stick with the Fusion for awhile longer. I found it gives a better cut but the Mach 3 blades lasted longer from memory and are cheaper to replace.

        I switched from Mach3 to Fusion when they first came out.
        The Fusion are better, but don't last anywhere near as long… When you also take into account the increased price, they're really bad value and are rarely found on special…

      No Mach 3 blades don't work in a Fusion Razor, thus the comment on the confusing image (when it loads up) so essentially you're really getting 6 blades for the price of 4 (Fusion Razor comes with a total of 2 Blades I think) and a free razor to put them in. When it look at it that way it's not a huge bargain, you could just buy the razor itself. But if like most people (myself included) you just continue to buy new razors instead of the cartridge packs over time you'll spend a lot more money, so this has a long term saving.

    For some reason, ive found the Mach3 blades last longer than Fusion when shaving "other" regions of my body.

      Maybe you need to specialise and have a different razor for a different task ;)
