    here is the link ….
    click on this link
click on the "autodetect my serial number" next to the serial number search….it should find your serial number and model and should give you available driver options…

if above fails then follow method below - it is slightly lengthy but has worked for me every time…..

here is what you can do if you do have internet via wired connection or have another laptop or device with USB connection to trasfer downloaded drivers…

right click on my computer> click properties> click device manager(from left hand panel)>you should see a ! or a ? against wireless adapter> right click on in> select properties> click on the details tab> select hardware id from drop down …note down everything after DEV (including DEV but before &) - example "DEV1234"… google this for drivers and you will get what you want - I found it out harder way because some of the laptop manufacturers themselves dont know what they have installed in your laptop….

    • Hi expertreader, I tried to troublesshoot .. install a driver for your network adaptor. I did open device manager on my computer and open the network adaptes.its is Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adaptor Properties.its showing message this device cannot start? Can u help pl?

  • Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adaptor its showing yellow color error sign when I open network adapters from device manager its also showing this msg when I open the adaptor properties driver cannot start (code 10) anybody can help and tell me why it happens. Even I did unistall it and reinstalled it still didnt able to use wirelss functuon for wifi?

    • what you need to do is open up your device manager, you then need to click the action tab at the top and click add legacy hardware
then click next and next again it will then scan and find nothing click next on the screen after that.
Wait a minute and you will see a list of hardware appear, scroll down and choose network adapters then click next, then from the left column choose Microsoft then in the right hand column scroll down and choose Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter, then click next and this will install it.
To check just make sure it is set to show hidden devices, right click on device manager on the right and click view then show hidden devices.

      or try

In the start menu search bar type in REGEDIT to open the registry editor. Navigate through the following: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\SERVICES\TCPIP6\PARAMETERS. In the right pane, right click Disabled Componets and select edit. Set the DWord value to 0. Restart your computer and the teredo tunneling adapter will now start.

      • I did axactly same as u said when I did right click and select for hardware changes at the end it gave me a msg "device driver software was not successfully installed" its showing the following msg in detail 1.PCI simple communication controller × no driver found 2.Ethernet controller × no driver found 3.Network controller × no driver found

        • I assume this laptop used to work? How recently did it work correctly? If within a couple of weeks, try system restore & go back to before this happened.

If it's been going on for a long time, then you might consider running a file check:

Start>programs>accessories>system tools>command prompt (but right-click command prompt & choose to run as admin)>type, sfc.exe /scannow click enter. See if Windows finds any system files that are corrupted.

If not, and you have a Windows 7 DVD, you can run from the desktop, "repair my computer" from the DVD.

Last case is back-up your files & reinstall Windows.

          Good luck.

        • @Geekomatic: hi,thanks yes it was working properly I used to get to many ads when I was opening giiglet chrome to access to the Internet so I did unistall something in the laptop to avoid those ads but I ended up with no wireless connection.

  • maybe it is faulty? possibly you could try a different dongle.

    • Its not faulty something wrong with Microsoft adaptor. I dont have any I might take it to shop. Thanks

  • Windows could not find the driver for ur network adapter?

    • when you are seeing the message"this device can not start" ignore this and click on tab called "details" at the top… then use the drop down box and choose device id and follow my instructions as above

  • Rocky:

If not, and you have a Windows 7 DVD, you can run from the desktop, "repair my computer" from the DVD.

Last case is back-up your files & reinstall Windows.

    Good luck.

    You have a major issue.

    • Thanks mate for that.I really appreciate you.

      • Did you solve your problem?

        If so, what worked?

        • Not yet mate as I dint have the boot able cd for Windows I need to get from friend.
