Budget Laptop Gaming

Hi Ozbargain,

Im looking for a new laptop for home. Im planning to use it just to browse internet , watch movie, and play light games such as : dota2, other online games .

I dont really care about battery life and weight and HDD since its for home use only.

I do care about the Graphic card, processor, ram and the heat management.

My budget is around 500-1000 ,any suggestion ?

I am aware that this kind of question is asked a lot of times already, but no flame please.

Thanks,

    Don't buy a laptop.

I do care about the Graphic card, processor, ram and the heat management.

Really should consider a desktop then, if you are not fussed about portability but still want to save space there's always mini ITX desktop solutions.

Dell Outlet has some refurbed and as new laptops

      • Lenovo CPU = Better
but GPU is a little slower than the GT 750m.

        http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-840M.105681.0.ht…

According to our benchmarks, the GeForce 840M is about 30 percent faster than the old GT 740M and just slightly behind a GeForce GT 750M (DDR3 version). Many games of 2013/2014 can be played fluently in WXGA resolution (1366 x 768) and medium or high detail settings. However, very demanding games such as Crysis 3 or Battlefield 4 will require lower resolutions and/or details.

Both laptops will serve your needs fine, it depends on what size you prefer as the Dell has a 17.3 inch display at 1080p.

        • Alright, I think im gonna go with Dell !
Do you know whats the different between "as new" and refurbished ?

hopefully nothing is wrong with my "as new" laptop !

          Thanks scrimshaw!

        • Just as it says on the tin, the laptop is pretty much brand new, perhaps the customer couldn't accept the order or maybe dell stuffed up with the configuration and it was returned to Dell.
