can any one suggest the cheapest sim to use in Europe that can be purchased in France?
mainly need for people to call in. not to make a heap of calls.

Check out toggle sim. Allows you to setup an AU number so your friends and family can call you with no incoming call charges.
ended up getting a lyca mobile sim when I was in london. instant roaming notifications with call rates each time I crossed a border.
Not sure if this is of any help, but I did my euro trip with a $35 dollar vodafone red plan as it was REALLY convenient.
Pretty much pay $5 AUD per day and you get to make calls/ use your data allowance etc. (For the days you use)
The benefit of this was that I could use it in different countries whilst moving around Europe.
IF you are only in France then I suppose this option isnt viable.
