Australia Post - Tracking Showing Delivered but Its Not

Hi, Just wondering if anyone can advise on my matter. Long story short, I'm expecting a parcel to arrive which was scheduled for today. Got a tracking update showing it's delivered but we haven't received it and it's to the wrong suburb.

I presume Kingsgrove is where the Depot is, and it's been returned to the depot? Would they look to deliver again tomorrow?

    They'd leave a card and you would pick it up from the depot.

      we also didn't get any cards which is the weird part, usually they leave a card for the local post office but got nothing !!

    Once it says "delivered", it's been delivered to the final destination, IME. I often have parcels that go back to the Post Office for pick up (when I haven't been home during delivery) and the tracking clearly states that delivery has failed and the parcel has been returned for pick up.

    I'd chase up your parcel if I were you. Sounds like it's gone MIA.

        Here's an example of a parcel I received last week: screenshot of tracking details. It only became 'delivered' once I'd picked the parcel up from the post office.

        Hopefully you can find out where yours is ASAP.

    It's where your parcel is now, I presume. 23'rd is today so I suppose it just went into the distribution center not too long ago.

    Call 13 13 18
    and ask customer service for instructions on how to retrieve your item.

      Thanks scrimshaw, I can only presume it is where it's gone, although I can't be sure exactly. Does any one if there are any other distribution centres out that way?

      Really irritating as I had someone at home all day waiting for it !

        You need to contact them ASAP early in the morning and get them to locate the parcel for you. It may even have left Kingsgrove and be on it's way to the sender, though that's just a possibility.

    iv had a parcel go from delivered to out for delivery, but never hurts to follow up ! the system does have issues often enough.

    Sorry, but i think it's been delivered to the wrong address or you got the wrong tracking #.

    This is what is normally written (as per my own package that i sent out to an ebayer)

    Attempted delivery - being carded to Australia Post outlet

    Awaiting Collection at XXX POST OFFICE/LPO

    Call Auspost ASAP tomorrow or ask the sender to confirm if they gave you the right tracking #

    This happened to me with Aus post. Tracking said the parcel had been delivered but it hadn't. The delivery driver turned up later with my package. Call Aus post, as many have mentioned.

    I have issues with Australia Post too. I have posted a regular parcel and the tracking says in transit stage. I have lodged an enquiry with them and now they told me it has lost in transit. It has been lost for three weeks as it took them a long time to investigate where it is. They came back to me today saying that since I have not purchase the extra cover for insurance, there's nothing they can do. Did anyone experience this and get compensation for your parcel item?

    Never been delivered but the record reads it has been "delivered"
    It does not display the address or the name of the receiving person.
