International Shipping from Australia

Hi guys,

I want to Gift two TV's to family who live in India and UK, could anyone please let me know if there is a cheaper and convenient way to ship.

I am thinking to buy from Australia or online stores if they could ship to foreign countries.

Cheers

Wouldn't it be a fairly expensive exercise to have to ship 2 LCD's overseas, not to mention they are fragile items which require careful handling.
Why do you think Australian stores don't usually serve international customers.. because we have uncompetitive prices and outrageous shipping costs.

Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.in would be better alternatives. Could even try the chinese sites like Aliexpress.

FlipKart is also an Indian e-commerce website, it sells a bit of everything and looks to be a company that started out in Singapore.

  • would be silly to ship tvs, why not ship the cash or gift card and let them buy. you can show them the link or the store nearby their home, or even call the store to reserve the specific model for your family to come pickup and pay.

    • They are elderly people and have settled after their retirement, and most of all they are not aware of digital media and won't go out for shopping if I give giftcards or transfer cash, else they have all stuff delivered or bought by maid for cooking and necessities in both countries.

  • The bad news is that the cost of postage will probably far exceed the value of the TVs!….

If you find out the postage cost and send that amount of money to India, etc., they can probably buy new TVs for the money!

    • I guess delivery could be more, thats the issue. Would it be possible to carry TV while I go to either of the country? I have a planned to India in next jan.

      thanks Shadow

  • You can carry a TV, provided within your baggage weight allowance…. Shouldn't be a a problem.

    • thanks Shadow, ill keep this as an option.
