  I created a camelcamelcamel alert for this set many months ago - and I got my first email today informing me of this deal. The set has been in the low US$60 range before - but I think this is the first time it's been below US$60 (before shipping).

  The graph on camelcamelcamel tells an interesting story.

  Amazon's site mentions that the set is Region A (Australia is Region B).

  But, I've seen a few reviews of the individual season sets that mention they're region free e.g:

    Amazon always says "Region A/1" on their discs. They don't check the region status of each title. Always go by what reviews say.

    However…reviews indicate that the complete series is indeed region locked to A.

      I ordered anyway - I'll post back with details when the set arrives, but it'll take a least a couple of weeks, and the price will probably have gone up by then.

      I did find this post on highdefdigest.com which seems to confirm that it is locked to region A.

      I'll probably just end up ripping the episodes or using a software player.

  I bought this set the last time it was on special and it is most definitely locked to region A (I knew this before purchasing). Note that the box and the slicks show region A, B and C but that is not the case, hence the confusing reports from reviewers.

  Also note that there is no cropping for widescreen as it is in the original broadcast 4:3 ratio

  I suggest the title be updated to include "locked to region A"
