I am heading to Hawaii in 9 days ( but who is counting? ) and would like a waterproof camera to take some photos on the beach and while snorkelling.
DSE have Nikon S32 for $126 ( http://www.dicksmith.com.au/nikon-s32-dsc-white-dsau-xg3660 ) anyone had any experiences, or can recommend a better buy?
When I was in the market for an underwater camera I was tempted by this one as most of the other tough cameras are $200+ but after playing with it for a bit in store it is really marketed as a children's camera. Specs wise I didn't think it was up to scratch and I kinda changed my mind and got a gopro but I don't recommend it for holiday happy snaps. I reckon day 1 of your trip if you're starting in Honolulu go to Ala Moana shopping mall and save some big dollars by buying your camera there.

Sorry, the Camera is $150 but DSE have 15% of Nikon cameras, hence the bigger discount.

The S32 looks like the successor to the S31 which I have. It's fine, I used it on a snorkelling holiday. I'm not a regular so I can't say if there is another camera with better value.
