Microsoft Windows 10

Looks like it will be an easier transition for those on windows 7 and previous versions with the Start button and the Metro apps won't have their own space like in windows 8, they seem to open up in just a normal window.

Got some features that are similar to OSX like Expose and multiple desktops.

  • Looks interesting. A unified system across phone and computer. The preview comes out tomorrow did desktop, unknown for wp8.

Wow, they skipped 9 and went to 10? that's pretty weird.
It looks they same as the Windows 9 previews.

Apparently the search function on the startmenu searches the web. I hope that's only optional as I only use it for finding Windows functions.

Overall it looks like more trouble than anything, I'm not convinced it'll be any better than 8 was.

    • Probably to make it look like there's big changes compared to Windows 8 or maybe since OSX 10 is the latest OSX, they wanted to be the same.

Perhaps they wanted to differentiate from the Windows 9x series, we had Windows 95 and Windows 98?

    • Need to subscribe to read this article

      • LOL wth… my bad, I don't know how i did it but i read it before without the subscription.

Try this… doesn't have as much screenshots as the WSJ one… but it doesn't need a sub. Also tells you how to preview it.

  • The release will be a version of Windows 10 still in early stages of development, sure to be riddled with bugs and issues.

You could have bowled me over with a feather when I read that… ;)
