MPEG to DVD Converter

Hi everyone

I need a MPEG to DVD converter and burn to DVD product - any suggestions.
I'm not that technical so need something that is secure and wont load my PC with trash

Preferably free

    I use ConvertXtoDVD, which works fine for me.

    Don't know how it compares to any other software though… there may be something better.

    Use HDMI out or VGA out on your laptop and use that. Or put it on a USB with VLC portable and use that. Burning is pointless in 2014.

    There is Nero, not free but I'm sure you can get a free one somewhere :P, it's very easy to use

    Have a look at Any Video Converter CNET

    I've used it to convert DVD to mp4.

    But ethereal88 is correct, why burn an actual DVD, when you can just play a file with a media player or direct from a laptop.
