      Just tried it, worth a download for $0 in case a better update comes out.

      My iPhone under a hot sun will shut down also. This app could use background running with screen off like Maps navigation, but not sure if it's 3rd party iOS apps limitation.

      Running in background while Maps navigation in foreground would be cool.

      +1 (but - we'd be using an iPad, not a silly iPhone…)

      Darn it! I just missed this deal…

      So SOON after we bought one of the new transparent, on-window, flexible, 12" stick-on displays for our (then) $390 iPad…!

      (I feel like a military jet pilot, whenever I drived, using this thing!)

      This app would really have let me put the new display to use!
      (And… I can keep the iPad under my seat, so it'll stay cool, while still getting a continuous flow of info, as we drive!)

      Of course, since we've spent so much on the display, we'll have to wait for apps like this one to go back down to "Free" before we can afford to try it… :-(

    I saw this, and thought "just wait for an OzBargain Sale on Dashcams (which ALWAYS happen - usually @Tmart or something)
