  • Do you want gaming at 1600x900 or battery life with a higher res screen?

The Intel HD 4400 isn't that bad for low res gaming.

  • Neither. The $1250 is overpriced (128GB at that price is a joke, should be double that at least). The $665 one has an obsolete CPU - you want Haswell at a minimum for the battery improvements. I'd wait for Broadwell tablets.

  • Gigabyte gives better bang per buck. Screen res is OK, but not great. What do you want it for?

Samsung is leaving the notebook business, in Europe and US, so probably Oz as well soon. Samsung is very well made, but hard to justify that price.

  • thanks guys.
It is for a third year uni student.
Because of the weight, battery life, processor and resolution I'll go for Samsung.
