I'm guessing the shipping costs are going to kill this deal.

US $5.23 for standard shipping to Australia
US $7.31 for expedited shipping to Australia

    • +3

Why? Amazons shipping prices are often cheaper than Australian stores.

      Estimated shipping & handling $5.23

Find me a Australian store shipping a memory stick for $5.23!

  • shipping is great same shipping price as above for 2 (didn't check other quantities) that I purchased.

  • +2

Shipping might be cheap, but these things drop dead like flies :( I have the 32GB one and it died in a week…

    • Not in my experience. I've had the 64GB one for 2 years now and it's survived advise by my toddler as well. Still going strong. Although I suspect now I've probably jinxed myself.

      • +2

What sort of advise did your toddler give?

        • +1

That it will work as a replacement for a pacifier I guess.

        • Lol advise should have been abuse. Damn Swype auto correct.

I have the 16GB Lexar, and the plastic is on the flimsy side.

Comparing the 64GB model, for around $5 more, you can get read/write speeds of 95/25 Mb/sec with a Transcend model (compared to 45/20 of the 64gb Lexar):

Not worth it… this brand have a very bad review because the reading and writing speed is quite slow & also it's quite famous with the data failure (in another word broken USB). It's better to pay a bit more but your file is guaranteed.

    Here is another deal :

There is no rush , you can just pay another 4 AUD at ANYYTIME and you get a better safety for your data and a bit more speed. Don't be tricked with big saving ( 86% ) and you feel so compelled to buy it (I felt the same way) . It's a marketing bullshit to give you temptation to buy it quickly.

Remember, for a bit cheaper rice, you risk your data to be gone!!

When people make a comment along a blog or comments list such as this when more than one brand/model is being discussed, please be specific as to which brand/model you are refering to, especially in this case directly below the previous comment. In the interest of correctness, be specific, otherwise why bother commenting.

    • Looks quite good - thank you for adding this rod.
      Good advice too!

After factoring in shipping and currency conversion, is a couple of dollars cheaper on eBay..

Can confirm I have the 16gb version and I get data failures all the time. Gave it a 1 star review on amazon as its a piece of crap.

  • had 2 of these
    dead within 3 months
    lucky I had local warranty
If you think of amazon warranty it is not a good deal

  • I'd steer clear of these. I bought two of the 32GB model and both died. They were both replaced under warranty but who needs the hassle for a cheap USB drive?

Also, barely faster than a USB 2.0 drive.

Save your money and buy a better model, eg. Sandisk Extreme.
