[HACK] Cold-Ish $1 "Iced" Milk Coffee @ 7 Eleven

Moved to Forum: Original Link

I've been using the method below to make a slightly cold cheap $1 coffee milk drink for the hotter days:

  1. Take the $1 coffee cup
  2. Place it under the dispenser
  3. Select 'Short Black' on the machine
  4. Let the dispensing finish. Leave your cup under the dispenser
  5. Now the machine display should be at the default position
  6. (optional) Select the 'Low Fat' option
  7. There is a button on the right hand side labelled 'Cold Milk'
  8. Press and hold the 'Cold Milk' button until the cup is full. Sometimes you need to repeat this step twice (as it cuts off at the 4/5 line)

Depending on the temperature of the dispensed milk, you should have a slightly cold coffee drink resembling a iced milk coffee. It's not perfect but at least it's not hot or warm.

Tip: Put sugar in the cup and stir with the short black first before dispensing the cold milk. Also stir at the end if you want.

  • Is there an ice dispenser nearby on a soda machine?

Probably go to nearby Hungry Jack which has the soda machine in the customer area (usually for refilling purpose), and get the ice for FREE! Win!

There's always the slurpee machine. Yum yum, can't get enough of that Raspberry iced coffee goodness!

  • Oops, I knew I should have posted in the forums. Thanks for moving it over here mods :-)

  • Hahah thanks for the heads up

Not really seeing how this is a hack per-say as just a choice when making your drink?

    • True. Just trying to make some people aware that it is actually possible to change around the drink.
