Australian None Delivered Post

Moved to Forum: Original Link

Hi Guys i am facing this problem from one of the post man and had complaint to Australia post twice in past and did again today morning but i have gut feeling nothing is going to happen as they are not bothered to correct their system or fix the post mans who constantly trying to leave cards instead physically deliver the item.

I have attached the PDF of my previous complaints to Australia Post.

Now i dont know how to fix the issue as Post man is constantly trying to do this?
Help needed.

  • I had a lot of issues with Australia Post, and made tons of calls to their call centre but never got anything out of it. I think you might get more out of it if you complain to the seller and ask them to lodge a complaint with Australia Post, they're the ones who are paying for the service after all, and also as what I was told when I spoke to the auspost representative - only the seller can lodge the formal complaint anyway. Also if you're near a Parcel Locker, you might want to get your packages delivered there instead.

  • I did contact the seller as well and they do not mind as long as we able to get the product even its late or we been put through trouble by Australia Post. They suggests me either wait for the product if it is not delivered of if there is card left then go and get from the post office. It is simple on their end because they are not the one who have to chase the product they simply tell us go to post office and collect.

  • I'm pretty sure that in Canada they dont deliver parcels to your door..
The reason for this being you actually go into the post office outlet and are more likely to buy something.
I learnt the other day that LPO's only get paid around 29c for holding the mail for you. LPO's really struggle most of the time and basically rely on overly priced in store products.
This could be the case in your area whereby they are trailing it or they are just understaffed and simply do not have time to deliver everyones item..

    • In Canada they deliver post to your door.

If it is an international parcel you may have to go into the post office and pay duty/tax before it is handed over. I can't remember what the threshold is.

That might be why you thought no one delivers post in Canada…

  • +1

I have a super friendly post guy that I talk to and see all the time, he knows who I am just from all the parcels - he never asks names or anything he just asks how I'm going - real good bloke. This being said, people do make mistakes and I've had parcels go missing from Aus Post - and looked next door and found them!

  • what i think of (ps its just my thinking not a proved fact) is he collects mail a day before from Delivery Ware house, at night at home he write down all the cards and early morning between 6 AM and 8 AM he drops the cards at the addresses and after 8 AM drop all the delivery at the post office and goes home marks he is the most efficient person who finish his job in 2 hours and charge back to the Delivery Warehouse per box. In other words this Delivery contractor makes 400-500 in couple of hour work.
