  • heads up..its US$3.97 shipping per book not per order.

Also some feedback regarding their marketplace books.

Don't buy the books if they are a popular book! If that book is sold out already, it takes them 5 days to tell you its unavailable, but they charge your credit card straight away!

And then when they finally tell you it's not available, they say they will refund you the money, but they don't reverse the charge on your credit card!

They credit your credit card with the current exchange rate, 10 days after I'd ordered the book.

Soooo… this means that depending on how the exchange rate goes, you get short changed, and they don't refund the international transaction fee either, because the charge isn't reversed.

Beware! Awful system for international customers!

  • I've used them really successfully and i dont mind paying the bit extra over bookdepository sometimes.

I agree, avoid the marketplace though.

    • I do, since their delivery take 1-3 weeks more than Book Depository…

Their second hand books can be OK though, as long as it's noticeably cheaper than their new price and you don't want the book any time soon.

      • True

But perhaps the description should have mentioned that this is a social marketing website to raise funds for their literacy partners, not a race to the bottom mass website like wal…book depository.

  • yeah it's per book $3.97. too bad. maybe next time
