Trying to get free complementary domestic flights through AMEX platinum edge card

Hi all

Decided to go on a last minute trip in 4 weeks time (7 November) to Gold Coast but tickets are really expensive - around $300+. I remember that you can get complementary domestic travel with AMEX platinum edge card, which will only cost $195 a year plus other perks.

I am wondering if I apply by this week, whether I can get the card and book for the flights in time to go to Gold Coast?

Anyone who holds the card can tell me whether there is a term and condition on booking the flights that I should be aware of in this situation?

    Even after you have your card, you need to book your tix 4 weeks in advance. So this offer wont help you here.

      Could you show the reference? I cannot find it on their website, only this:

      To qualify for a Flight, you must have paid the Minimum Amount on your first and most recent
      Platinum Edge Credit Card statements by the due date and have maintained your account with
      American Express in good standing.
