I remember seeing a pretty blonde girl wearing one of these singlets in Cronulla mall. I could not help but think of other times in history when the blue eyed blonde haired youth had been co-opted into the service of divisiveness. Make no mistake, if a fat, middle aged smoker or alco or some bloke that tinkered with V8's was wearing one you would think, "thats about right poor thing". But seeing young ppl branding themselves with the southern cross brings tears to my eyes.
Is it the singlets with "Leave if you do not love australia"
Specifically, "if you don't love it leave" foregrounding the southern cross and union jack. Australia is substituted for the word "it". What is "it"? A complex of outmoded cultural beliefs that might only exist in small country towns that have never linked up with a rail line.

That's a far stretching question isn't it? I have zero care factor about a shirt enough to remember it or hold it against a place that I get my groceries from.
I don't find it racist. I support it; there are those people that love their own country so much nothing compares, but love centrelink, discounted housing, and free medical but still windge. I'll be more than happy to pay for your one way ticket back.
If you feel offended by the singlet, than your obviously guilty about something.
I agree with it as well. It's not racist, it's patriotic and nationalist.
If people want to come here, short that have the decency to respect how it is? Not force change?
