Tourist Refund Scheme (TRS) - need to bring packaging?

I was wondering if you intend to claim TRS at Sydney airport, do you also need to bring the packaging and manuals along? It's not specifically mentioned.

    At Perth Airport, you don't need to bring the packaging nor manuals. I presume that will be the same for Sydney airport.

    Nope. An example, I've done it for a samsonite suitcase that was full of stuff/being used and about to be checked-in.

    I had a GoPro with the receipt rubber-banded around it. No problem.

    Correct, the only thing you require is the item, receipt and a card or account for the refund to be credited to. I strongly recommend completing the forms online or via the app, simple procedure of scanning the QR code on the day.

    I did TRS many years ago, no you don't need packaging.
