I have one of the 4GB version of this stick and its transfer rate is incredibly slow. Still, it wouldn't be of that much importance if you're just putting uni assignments or whatever onto it.

Yeah and what I don't understand is why people still keep voting this a +ve even when they didn't get one. I don't see how it's a good deal if it's obvious they barely had any in the first place since only a handful of people got one. If there was only a few, why was this deal even posted when it was bound to sell out quickly anyway. Just trying to get us to look at the site.
It's pretty ridiculous if the second poster is the one to say it's out of stock. It's like when you see a Kmart catalogue with some huge discounted item on the front page in big bold letters. You ring every Kmart near you but they all say it's sold out. It's just annoying.
I don't get why people give -ve vote when they are too slow to find the bargain then whinge there wasn't enough stock. It's 99 cents!!! of course it going to sell out quickly there not going to have unlimited amount of stock
It's not the fact that I didn't get one. It's the whole baiting/advertising motive that gets the -ve.
I'll go sell a USB stick for 1 cent and make it out like it's a huge saving for everyone, then when it's sold out I'll tell the second person that looks 'aww too bad you were just too slow on our super awesome deal….make sure you come back to our site next time for more awesome deals'. That's what it's like in this case.

I have received the 2GB USB stick today in the mailbox (Sydney Metro). Again its the Transcend U30 instead of Sandisk Cruzer. But for 99c, I am not complaining.
im also waiting for mine. how can you not complain when you paid for a sandisk and receive a transcend instead. they better send the product i paid for.
