YourShare.com.au / CashbackClub.com.au - Cashback on Your Insurance and Homeloan? Really?

Hi all,
anyone ever heard yourshare.com.au or cashbackclub? I stumbled upon these 2 website and they mentioned they can get you cashback for your homeloan, life insurance, health insurance, utility etc.
it sounds too good to be true esp with the homeloan.
anyone know what they are about? I am just worried it might be a scam or something else
Thanks in advance

As far as I can tell, CashbackClub.com.au is similar to existing cashback sites such as CashRewards and StartHere. They signed up to affiliate networks, and then give back part of the commission. For example, up to 7% cashback from ASOS at CashbackClub and 7% cashback from CashRewards as well.

What they do have is rebating the trialling commission back on the financial products. I am not that familiar with these products, however trialling commission rebate is not new at least with managed funds. If you are a broker you get commission when you sell financial products (fund, loan, etc). Your financial advisers usually pocket those, but there are a few websites that rebate the whole or part of commission back to you.

  • I have been with YourShare for the last few years and they are pretty good.
I first read about them in Money Magazine and they are highly recommended.

    • coco0507 do you include your home loan with them? if yes, do they make you refinance your homeloan?

      • Sorry I forgot to mention. I receive some money back for my managed fund, not home loan.

    • As Scotty mentioned Cashbacksites work with affiliate networks. This works on a cookie basis so they can track that you made a purchase through their website. Only then they will earn a commission which they can return partially or all of it to you.
