Got a receipt (from JB) for a camera. A staff suggest they couldn't price match that price because it says "promotion" on that receipt.
Funny that off that receipt, the story was a JB store tried to match another JB store on that camera. But somehow "promotion" was printed.
Does anyone has experience about "promotion" price match?
Do they simply make up excuses for not matching low price? Even the same item was so from another JB store?
No idea about "promotion" but I'd try a different store.
Not long ago the Forest Hill store in Mel priced matched a copy of a receipt from a WA store for a canon SLR (he did have to ask the manager), what got it over the line was that I also wanted to buy extra batteries and a vertical grip (all genuine), the best part was they also price matched those items to other "price matches" I had found.
Nice!! Maybe the receipt I found for 5D mk3 has way too aggressive discount. Looks like I shall try a different store.
JB doesn't need to come up with excuses not to price match. They don't claim that they will price match, so don't have to do so.
I hear you but I thought they have been promoting they have best price?
That's why I'm unsure how it works.
I've had some JB stores match with no questions asked. Other times I have been told the competitor is far too cheap and they can't match it. I guess results vary from store to store, and staff member to staff member.
