          Minimum wage is legislated by government. Prices are then set according to the cost of labour among other factors.

          Employers don't generally care about how much you can consume at local prices with your pay-packet. I think that's what Porthos was saying with their comment.

    Would like, but there's only one Oporto within driving distance from where I live. Stopped going there ever since they dropped the RACV discount. I like their food though. They just aren't prolific enough.

    Man why can't mc Donald's or kfc join the run? Spend mostly on the other guys than Oporto, not saying it bad. The amount I have eaten with maccas should be more than enough to have free burgers for the next 3 years, on average a meal per day for the last 20 years.

      Maccas had the Big Mac chant this time last year (sort of unlimited Big Macs for at least a month), while KFC had two waves of its Snack In The Face app!

    Since moving house and no longer working in Doncaster, my nearest Oporto's is Fountain Gate, a whopping 22km away.

    What happened to the Southland store? I thought that one did quite well.

      Nandos is awesome, but expensive.

      Subway has $7 footlong subs at the moment, after 5pm. Excludes Premium range. Still pretty good value, since some of these subs are normally $10.95. But their service is really sucking now. In the evenings the place I go to is only staffed by one person. It's so slow.
