Just bought this watch and thought others might like the deal. This one has got 4.6 rating. Reviews say it's very light weight. No battery replacement needed ever. It seems Citizen gives 1 year international warranty. May be that means we can have local warranty. But it says contact seller for warranty in the product description.

10% discount is applied at check-Out. On eBay the price is around 250$ and above. So I think it's a saving of minimum 75$.

    Good deal for sapphire crystal and titanium. Not overly wide too at 42mm. I personally have an eco-drive with perpetual calendar which I think is the most useful feature but it is stainless steel. This is the lowest price so far on camelcamelcamel.

      I agree, had this watch for almost ten years and it hasnt skipped a beat. Looses maybe 2 to 3 sec over a year even when forgotten in a draw for a few weeks. Comes up nicely when polished and nice and slim on the wrist.
      Very nice watch overall and worth the money. Paid around 300 on sale for it back then, so this price is a steal.

    How does the battery never need replacing? I have never bought a watch before (ive bern fotunate enough to be gifted two citizens) so this may be a silly question.

      Solar (voltaic) battery recharger built invisibly into the watch face. I have three Citizen Eco Drive watches [watch freak :-)], first was bought in 1995, all have run flawlessly, cases have never been opened. There are stories that the batteries do have a finite life, however Citizen are confident they will last a lifetime + !!

        That is not entire correct. All citizen watches use rechargeable batteries. They like to call it "capacitor", but whatever! These rechargeable batteries last around 5-10 years before you have to replace them. Depends on how much how you use the watch. Just bullshit clever marketing tricks in my opinion.

          This is arrant nonsense. Solar powered watches run 24x7 so there is no such thing as variable 'use' unless it's a chronometer. And I say again my three Eco-Drives are 19, 7 and 3 years old, all have run perfectly and never had the cases opened.

        I'm not a fan of eco drives, we just threw my wife's one in the bin, <10yrs old & no longer economical to repair since failing yet again out of warranty, especially after the multiple returns under warranty. Pretty much the same story with several friends' eco drives too…

        Of course that's crap, a quick search of used/not working/as is eco drives on ebay will come up with plenty of examples of eco drives that have failed, and i can guarantee you the people who bought those watches were also told the battery "never needs replacing"!

        One thing I notice is this thing needs a really bright light source like the Sun. If just used indoors it'll eventually stop (depleted battery).

        When I bought one back around May 1998 I think someone advised me the battery should last around 20 years.

        It's still working now but the battery doesn't last as long on a full charge.

          I'd disagree with this. I think the only thing it needs is to be a daily wear watch. Not one kept in the drawer. My watch rarely gets full sunshine and lasts through the whole winter being mostly covered by sleeves and jumpers, and getting charged only a few hours from indoor lighting when I have it off my wrist in the evenings.

          I've got an eco drive pro master that needs a new battery after 15 years. The watch still works fine, but it doesn't have enough grunt to reset the chrono unless its in direct sunlight.

    I haven't worn a watch for a long time. However, if starjewels.com.au can do a better price on these models I might consider to wear one again, and support the local retailer.

    Citizen Eco drive models in Australia comes with 5 year intl warranty.. Not sure why this model gets only one year. It is best to confirm before buying..

      This is incorrect. Only the first year is international. The warranty for the other four years is only valid in Australia. The same goes if you buy an Eco-Drive watch from the US in which the warranty for the first year is international while the warranty for the other four years is only valid in the US.

    I bought an Eco-Drive in 2001 and it needed a battery replacement in 2007. Can't remember how much the replacement cost but is still running perfectly now. I believe the battery/capacitor they use now is more reliable than the earlier ones.

    Interesting note on the Citizen warranty page -
    'The original Power Cell in the watch is a test Power Cell and is therefore not covered by the warranty.'

    Found it funny how they devote many paragraphs to what isn't covered. Then under the heading 'What is covered' almost all of the content is about what isn't covered.

    I think in worst case we can get 5 years USA warranty. Chances are very less that anyone will need it but if they do then have to send it to USA. I believe that is how it works with anything bought from the USA unless they have standard global warranty.

    It's an 175 dollar watch. All this bs about "it doesn't last forever"… Because it's not a 5k watch that you pay 2k to service over 10 years.

    If you think it looks good you will be hard pressed to find sapphire glass with a titanium bracelet at this price. I received a 400 citizen Quartz with sapphire glass when I was 13 years old. 10 years on the glass is mint. Sure the case is scratched but I've went diving in it, taken paint off metal, And dented walls with it. Bezel and face are bulletproof

    Not really expired yet. Just got the Nighthawk for AUD~$220 delivered. eBay cheapest @ $320. Really a good bargain for a Nighthawk Chronograph.
