Help Moving Xbox 360 Account to Xbox One

I'm getting my White Xbox One today.

On my 360 I have 2 accounts
1 offline that I played all games on (have gamerscore)
1 online that I only used to download games with nearly no gamerscore (did this a while after I got it, only used the console offline)

I want to transfer my account with gamerscore to the xbox one. However the online account is using my email address so I can't just make it an online account easily

Does anyone know how I can get the offline account onto the xbox one? Is it possible to change the email or delete the account of the current online one

Thanks!

  • Sounds like you'll have to convert the offline account to an online account. I did this for mine, it's really easy and it comes with all your gamerscore. You don't need to pay anything for this.

However the online account is using my email address so I can't just make it an online account easily

I'm not sure, but you could perhaps ring Xbox support and tell them about this, and they may be able to help you.

  • What you just said doesn't make much sense.

The online account is easy, just sign in to Xbox One with the email.

Now when it comes to offline, how on earth is there no email attached to it? I've got 2 account system too, one US and one normal and I've changed emails between them but as far as I am concerned there is noway you can removed an email and just leave it without one?

    First of all, what on earth happens when you sign in to the offline account, even if you have silver it will sync your gamerscore to some sort of Microsoft account, check your setting to see if you did assign a email to it, however this leads to the second question;

You need to give us more information like is the offline Xbox connected to the internet at all?

Have you ever been online with the offline one at all?

Or did you just make it like ages ago and never go online?

How do you download games onto your Xbox with the online one if you've never been online with the Xbox?

We want to help you but a lot of what you have said doesn't make any sense.

    Ok let me try:

First of all, the online one: You can just sign in to Xbox One and that's all.

Now the offline one: If your Xbox has never been online, you need to get it online and sync with your Microsoft account, if somehow you don't have an email assigned to it because you only created it on the Xbox and never signed up to Live than just make yourself a new hotmail/live email and use that for your Offline account. It will sync your Gamerscore and it and than just sign in with that new email on your X1 and you have everything.

If you want your email from the online account to be the email assigned to offline account, you can change your Xbox Live profile email, I've done it, just go to setting with the Online account signed in and change the email, once done you need to give the online account a different email (make new one) and than you can assign your email to the offline account and Sync.

If you are unable to take offline Xbox online, copy your profile to USB stick and take it to a friend who has online Xbox 360, just stick it in there and you can sign in and do the steps above which is to give it an email.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks for the replies. I actually took FrankMcFuzz's advice and got in contact with xbox support and solved the issue

There was no email attached to the offline account on the xbox 360 because I never connected online with my main account.

Basically the support guy showed me how to switch the email associated with the online account. Which frees up the original email to use with the offline account to take to the xbox one. All sorted :)
