    not really, it's probably the 1st gen of iPad mini. the Retina versions including both 2nd and 3rd gens might be higher price than this price.

  The stats state 'A5 Chip' which would imply it's the iPad Mini 1 (non retina).

    He was talking about mini 2, without touch ID build-in, there is almost the same between mini 2 and mini 3 apart from touch ID home button. so, mini 2 may be the smarter choice if you are not pursuing the latest technologies.

  i had one for 3 months then sold it after i installed IOS 8.0.2. some apps keep crashing and the tablet becomes a bit non responsive at times.
