  • How much with your budget?
    How about I3+HD7850 ?

  • Mate go with FX 6300 might not be as powerful as intel but you wanted cheap and be able to play latest games such as BF4 and CS
my pc has FX 6300 and can run every game ive ever put it against
    including BF4 and CS:GO
    amd FX 6300
    r9 270x
    8gb(2x4gb)1600 DDR3 ram
Asrock 970 pro3 R2.0 Motherboard -sadly not a good one for overclocking was my first pc build and went cheap on it.
1tb secondary HDD and 250gb SSD for OS
i spent a little more and both PSU and case separately but there are cheaper alternatives that include PSU
    and disk drive wifi card

this is just what mine is i wanted it solely for gameing and web browseing and watching movies nothing to do with anything else.

    • i think i might man what mother board do you recommended instea of an asrock 970? and how does the r9 270x cope?

      • The popular motherboard choice is asus m5a97-r2.
In BF4 multiplayer mode with r9 270x I believe you can get 40-60fps smooth play with occasional dips to 30+fps on ultra 1080p settings.

        • i was thinking the Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P is it any good

        • @swagmaster: Personally I would get the asus whenever possible. Not saying gigabyte is bad, but asus has slightly better power delivery/oc potential (m5a97-r2 has 4+2 phase vrm vs gigabyte 4+1).
