The invites are valid for two weeks. Usually people hold on to them trying to give to friends and family, then on the last day, will just give up any leftovers randomly.
You can try the one plus forums, that's where I got mine from. It's a bit of a headache though. Too people want you to jump through hoops to 'earn' it. I'd suggest keeping an eye on Twitter over the next few days (if in fact a new batch of invites have been released). Search #oneplus and #invite, and message anyone who says they have some. I think you will be more successful that way. Seems to be less competition.

One Plus has just given me 2 more invites to pass around. They're not too difficult to get hold of nowadays, but incase any of you are after one, let me know. Expires in 2 days.
I think they sell on ebay now for less than $10.
