Following on from this post last year, Grace For Vets has expanded the offer to now include 102 car wash locations nationally. What a great gesture for our Veterans!

What is Grace For Vets?

The mission of Grace For Vets, a non-profit organization, is to honor those who have served or are currently serving their country. This international program unites the car wash industry each year on November 11. Whether observing Veterans Day, Remembrance Day or Armistice Day, we unite together as a whole, and provide FREE car washes to ALL veterans and service personnel.

Founded in 2004 by a single car wash operator, the program has grown from just a handful of washes to several thousand, in 4 countries. The program's founder, Mike Mountz, was inducted into the International Carwash Association's Hall of Fame in 2010.

      Erm, I'm thinking not brownO, I reckon it's intended for those who've actually served abroad, as in, put themselves in danger for us/their country. Otherwise you'd have all the new recruits at ADFA lining up, as well as all and sundry from the admin' branches of the Defence Dept., army reserve members etc.
      So no.
      No car-wash for you! :-P

    The FREE car wash is available only on November 11th—rain or shine. The program is focused on honoring veterans and service personnel. In order to receive a FREE car wash, all veterans have to do is let you know that they are a veteran or in the armed forces. No proof of veteran or personnel status is required. This may lead to some abuse, but we believe that the program must be based on one of the guiding principles for a veteran, honor
