Uniden GOCAM320 in Car Accident HD Recorder Black $55
Video

Uniden offers the latest in vehicle accident recording 'black box' technology. Mounted on the inside of the car windscreen, the iGO CAM 320 can automatically detect any sudden changes in car movement through its G-Sensor, such as when an accident occurs, and immediately record the footage in high definition. The vehicle recorder can also loop record which continually records what is happening. This footage can then be used to provide evidence of who is at fault so that drivers can easily report incidents to police and insurance companies.

had one of this from JB a whicle back for $79. it was fun as my first dashcam, then realise it can't view clearly at night time. now I bought something else for the similar price. It s not a total waste of money. I stuck it on the rear window as a dummy one to warn off tailgaters.

Can you please tell us what the other cam you bought that you thought better?

      • I am no expert. Based on comments from earlier threads in OZB. Bought 2 G1-W . Quite happy. Wait time 4 weeks for free delivery.

    So its second hand then?

No it helps you get into an accident.

Given the recording resolution is conspicuously absent from the specs, I bet it is not 1080p. 720p vs 1080p makes a big difference when trying to read license plates.

If it isn't 1080p it's not worth buying.
    1080i is more like 720p.

    • Actually it's more like 1080p

  • I have the iGO CAM 300. It's 720p and passable. Good first dashcam to try out. Interface rather clunky, but works ok. Don't expect to read licence plates except in ideal lighting and speeds, ie daylight and small speed difference relative to yours.

  • They're a good investment. Spent a little more than this on the itronics itb-100hd. It's been great, already saved me over $3000 worth of respray after gravel fell from a truck in front of me.

Aldi have a full hd dash camera for $50.00, 3 year warranty on sale 15/11.

Sounds good. I would have thought an Audi one would be more expensive given the price of their cars.

    • can get it cheaper on dinodirect.com. the cheap one does not last more than 6 months in my experience. the suction cup fells, the sd cam keeps getting toasted under the sun, can't view any image at night. it's like a crew flying at night across the sky in Africa.

    • I just purchased 2. Bit of a pain to setup properly. I haven't found a site to update the firmware (if required).

  • Aldi looks like the one

      Aldi looks like the go

      Pro.

    • Ohhhhh! aLdi.

      That makes more sense

Guys, get ANY dash cam, even a cheapy. Something is better than nothing at all

    • Eggactly.. they don't have to be brag value, just something to record the incident.
That aldi one looks a good deal… 3 yr wty is a plus.

      • down side is ya gotta find a store that has them in stock ,my local stores suck

I got the GOCAM600 for $55.95 delivered it does 1080p I used the officeworks app to get it.

  • Considering the purpose of these devices are to show a car accident that would require a distance of about 2 meters from the camera I don't see why people are stuck on 720 vs 1080

More relevant would be the frame rate and low light quality

    • If you look at the FHD VS HD video on the road it's basically the same
