Went to Kmart in North Rocks earlier today and saw a stack of Homemaker-branded fleece fitted electric blankets (QB size only) reduced down to $10 (from $44+). There are ~10 available in-store (not available online).
Not sure if this is applicable at other stores.
Public Service Announcement: According to Dr Karl leaving your electric blanket on while you sleep can be responsible for much more electromagnetic radiation that using mobile phones. His advice is to only turn it on to warm the bed up, and the turn it off once you get in.
Now of course I don't know if there is any proof that this causes issues, I just think it could be an interesting conversation.
