the trophy list should be the same but not the save files. this is US version of the game, your previous save file will work if you played the disc US version, not AU/EU/ASIA version.
Your achievements might be reset too so be careful.
I'm not sure if the PS4 trophies are the same as PS3 but when I swapped discs between the US, Australian and Japanese version of SSFIVAE, my trophies were reset to 0% since they use the same trophies list name.
I think it depends on the game since some other games I played I get 2 lists of trophies if the game name and icon is different.

For someone who played both versions of the game, how much better does it look on PS4? Is it worth getting it just for that? I've beaten the PS3 game. It looked fine as it was tbh.

i have learnt the lesson not to buy too many games as i don't even have time to play. Yes these games are cheap and that's why I bought them in the past when I still owned PS3. And I reckon i have not played any of those games and they are just collecting dust. Now I sold all my ps3 stuff and I only got the games I really like in PS4. Too many commitment in life, too little time to play PS4.
