and here is one that doesn't require batteries for the chime, you simply plug it into a power point. Still has a pass-thru for power.

I've got that one but with one receiver.
It has done me well, other than the battery running out over time I've had no issues.
I am pleasantly surprised with it.
I got it from a chinese website like buyincoins, it's currently $5.67 USD there.
great, how is battery life (appro)?
i too have bought a cheapo from ebay. it's been working fine for 6 months. the previous doorbell made by arlec (bought frmo bunnings) lasted 2 years before dying.
