  • Very strange that Big W's pic' doesn't show any "Class" rating on this SanDisk memory card…
I don't this is a particularly great price, given that MSY & uMart list at $14 on StaticIce, with Apus (SSq) cheaper again.
But then, if MSY et cetera aren't readily accessible to you this deal may well be attractive.

    • Maybe different stores will have different versions on the shelf? (E.g your local one might only have class 4 but class 6 will be on the shelf elsewhere)

The pic looks like this: http://www.sandisk.com.au/Products/Item%281982%29-SDSDBR-409… so I suspect it may be class 2, but that's just an assumption! ;)

It might not appear to be a "bargain" per se, especially in comparison to online prices; but for a walk in price at a very common bricks & mortar store it's pretty decent IMHO! Last time I looked at shipping for one of these things from some online dealers the freight was higher than the price of the card! ;)

  • hey guys, i've bought this one at bigw a few weeks back. It's a class 2 for sure, it looks like they have photoshopped the 2 logo out of the photo. The special has been going for a few weeks now, i bought it for $18 back then. If anyone suggested some read/write software, i'll run it and scan up the results. Otherwise if you're looking for a basic sd card, with basic speeds - it will do fine for digital cameras etc.

lol yeh, a lot of them are fakes. People have said the sandisk cards are legit, however those cards you can buy cheaper in australia.

I just received my 16gb c6 transcend from DX today, and i'm relieved to report that its probably real.

tested with H2TESTW and true capacity is 14.9GB. crystaldiskmark says 17mbps read 9.5mbps write (not sure if thats card or reader limited.

But i appreciate your warning, and wont buy memory from dx again without a good reason.

  • TBH I don't see how this is a bargain. They're cheaper on eBay….and I'm not talking about the fakes on eBay but the real ones. The ones from Apus Auction go for around $10.
