Anyone Utilise Catch of The Day or Grocery Run?

I'm curious if anyone is utilising Catch of the Day or Grocery Run and if so, what kind of products utilise good savings. When you first look at these, they seem like good deals, but the RRP is often inflated, you miss out on the chance of getting a special at the supermarket, you have to buy enough goods to make up for the shipping cost, you have to accept that you only get a specific brand and probably more of the product than you want, plus you have to spend time browsing the site.

So, does anyone use these sites, and what makes it worth it for you?

I managed to get a bunch of Gillette Fusion razor blades really cheap, I saved more than enough on them alone to make pay for the cost of the shipping. Are there any other goods where the saving is worth it?

  • Hey mate, I use grocery run about every 3 or 4 weeks.
I certainly don't use it to do a grocery shop. I will generally only buy about 4 to 7 different items but buy max amounts of them.

The majority of their prices don't seem that amazing. The minority are very good and great for me to stock up on things. Pantry goods, "health" bars/powders and cleaning products are where i have seen the biggest discounts

  • Grocery run is great for skincare products imo, they put a huge markup on them at supermarkets and chemists.
