I'm going on a P&O cruise in a few months and would like to experience the chef's table. It allegedly can only be booked when onboard. Does anyone know if and how it can be secured in advance?

relax mate, if you book on the day one, you will get seats. you just need to book a day or 2 in advance.
This is a dinner for twelve guests and will be held on perhaps three nights of the cruise. That's 36 spots available. I think most of these cruises have 1700 people on board. I'm not going to relax until I get my booking.
If it helps with advice, we are staying in a suite which I think means preferential embarkation. If truly is first come first served on board then perhaps someone can give me some advice on getting on the boat first.
