Just bought 2 more 128GB to add to the collection :)

Was going to get the 256GB one but it seems they are slower than the 128GB version :(

128GB is pretty close to the best value for money GB/$ so you are not really loosing. just get 2 x 128GB will cost 3c more+shipping

This is OzB so we tend to lose our sense over cents :)

what is that wonderful scent that you sent?

      • +1

Assuming currency conversion rate of 1.156069 (you can get close to that with a 28 Degrees MasterCard).

        GB USD shipped AUD $/GB
        32 $11.88 $17.88 $20.67 $0.65
        64 $19.99 $25.99 $30.05 $0.47
        128 $34.99 $40.99 $47.39 $0.37
        256 $69.95 $75.95 $87.80 $0.34

So 2x128GB would cost AU$6.98 more than 1x256GB.

Except you don't pay twice for shipping when you buy 2 keys at once :)

And when you bundle the keys with something else like I did (books in my case), it ends up being only a dollar more shipping rather than $6.

    • but it seems they are slower than the 128GB version :(

      Other users disagree.

      • +2

lol…you mean the single user who got a suspiciously high write speed of over 130MB/s whereas all other Amazon reviewers were about 100MB/s tops.

        That guy?

256GB is still the same price as it was during last week's deal.

    • +4

      actually 4c cheaper

  • How well do these hold up on a key ring?

    • +1

They don't look robust at all

  • Came to AUD$29.81 incl shipping for the 64GB. (that exchange rate T.T)

  • +1

How good are these for read/write cycles. How long could you use them as a hard drive for?

    Much worse than an SSD?

  • When will we be able to get the 500GB thumb drive?

  • the reviews show these are failing after a few weeks or months ?

    • Except for you know, all those positive reviews that vastly outnumber the negative.

  • Better than last night Sandisk deal?

    • +1

Cheaper. But lower quality flash drive with 1 year limited warranty, and slower.

I bought one a year back and have been fairly abusive to it. Even managed to pry off the plastic slide part because I needed it off for my own special reasons. I tell you that was a task and a half. The things are very sturdy and so far no issue with it. Totally buying a second. I've currently misplaced my one. Or it finally ran away from home. Wouldnt blame it either…

  • Has anyone got this connected to there router as a shared location?..I currently have a Sandisk Extreme 64GB but just need more room.. just don't want it to die after being on always.

  • Bought one (256Gb), AUD$89.25 delivered to East Perth, WA

  • Free shipping when i paid with AMEX…

bought 2 didnt know of this deal just checked their website and was still going.

  • Ended up buying a 1x 128GB… loving the price… cheers OP

    • please vote for the deal then :)

  • Thank OP good deal. The 128gb has only gone up $10 after the sale.
64gb is same price but doesn't ship to Aus anymore.
