    with all these books

how are authors making any money?

      Great question…

    • It's more a marketing thing. And they hope word of mouth will get views and sales as they make it retail price again.

Quite a few Kindle books aren't really well written or worth reading. I suspect those type just want to say they've published a book. Or claim they're an author now.

      Ego and all that.

    • I got a free 'Barney Thompson' novel here (by Douglas Lindsay) and enjoyed it so much I bought the rest of the series (yes paid, gasp!).

It's basically free samples to entice you to buy.

      • But if Tightarse keeps posting these free amazon books threads

We never to need to buy another book for life…

I got so much free books from Tightarse

now I just collect them but have no time to read any of them
