Has anybody bought from DealsDirect?
I did. Won't do it again.
Questionable returns policy, and dodgy stuff.
Bought a hammock with the stand in picture, said included stand.
But now link has changed.. now says no stand.
To return costs both way shipping about $62, and you only get the balance as store credit.
AVOID DEALS DIRECT!
for items which are significantly not as described, you are entitled to a refund. should be on the accc site somewhere rather than credit
I've dealt with Deals Direct several times in the past, without issues. My advice would be to take with a grain of salt people who shout "AVOID …" based on one bad experience.
Have purchased many items from Deals Direct & never had a problem.Also goods arrive quickly - even though we're in Perth. Did you pay through PayPal? You said it all if the original ad. stated with stand - they have no come back on that & have to comply with it.
I bought a lot of things from them last year without an issue (rug, garden furniture, baby items, kitchen items etc). My only gripe was a frying pan that didn't show up, and then when I looked up my order status it was 'waiting for new stock' or something similar…but the stock was never going to come as it was being sold out. It was refunded quickly when I enquired, but if I hadn't chased it up I don't think I would have automatically been issued a refund.
I've always found their descriptions to be very good.
Do keep trying to follow up…I am very interested in your experience since I'm planning to buy a few things from them in the next few days. Thanks for sharing, this really helps the consumer
Do you have the link? You should be able to put it into Google cache to prove what was previously there.
