  • Would love to know people's experiences.
Are the quality and fit good?

    • Unless you really know your measurements, doesn't matter who you order from, it's going to fit awful.

  • I've been curious what their suits are for a long time. Such a hefty discount is amazing, but it makes me wonder how overpriced normal is.

  • +1

Pretty disappointing to take the time to create a suit only for it to show as sold out in the cart.

It's not 50% off suits it's up to 50% and the coupon is automatically applied so the prices are as shown.

  • Any reviews?

I've noticed generally poor reviews on the fit from a quick Google search

    • First suit I ordered about 3 years ago was very tight…guess my measurements were poor. I informed them…took some photos and submitted some alternate measurements. They replaced it free of charge and it was a perfect fit. I've ordered about 4 more since and no issues but I usually wait for these sales as they always have some special on during black friday. I think it was 30% off $700 last year.

    • There is a reason why when you normally get a proper suit made by a tailor you get measured and then go through fittings.

And that is because of all the variables you need to get right and you need a proper trained eye to get them right.

Even getting a shirt made over the internet need to do at least 2 tries to get right, now think about the added complexity with a suit.

      • agreed, when I'm finally sitting on enough money that I can justify a Fully tailored woollen suit I'll most likely give the internet a skip and go to a proper tailor…Given I'm a few years out of uni and can only afford 300-500 on a suit you can't go past the online guys :)

        • I recommend going to the shops and buy from a brand that fits you best, then pay another $50 to a good alterations guy to put in the finishing touches. Or find the suit then buy online of the same model.

Online custom suits can get really expensive really quickly not to mention all that time fluffing about with mailing things back and forth.

        • @blahman:
          I've tried this.
Getting a jacket altered to fit costs money. For a mates wedding I altered an 88S suit jacket to fit and the alteration was $120-$150 to get the shoulder area, 2 back seams, shorten the jacket and sleeves. If not like altering the hems of pants which can be DIY or done for $20. They usually have do undo the entire lining (or partial) of the jacket and this is where the costs come. Maybe i'm wrong and i've just found expensive tailors but these have been my experiences.

I'm a lean guy and most brands don't fit, my older bro has no probs buying a suit…he's much larger (height and weight) so everything fits ;-)

These guys (and a few other internet ones) are decently priced, good lightweight materials and so far they've lasted 3 years and they get used daily on rotation. And yes…if the size is wrong it does take another 2 months to get a new one made but given its totally cost free i don't see it as a bad thing. Unless of course you need it in the next few weeks…then probably give it a skip and find something local.

        • @lonewolf_860:
I see. Needing to alter 88S down is a special case then. Really not many options for you in Australia.

        • @blahman:
hahaha yeah, you finally see my plight
