If you're after a quality steam cleaner/mop that truly works, have a look at Karcher SC1020 that rivals some of the more expensive models from other manufacturer. Just bought one yesterday, and I'm loving it

  been looking around for one
  how is it on tiles?
  does it leave the tiles wet?
  do you have to press for steam? (some models u have to constantly hold the steam button)
  does it clean well?
  how long can u get with one tank?

  Yes, there is a latch that you need to hold to release steam with two setting - High or low steam pressure. The button is well designed, effortless to push and clean at the same time. Your fingers won't be sore from holding it.

  Another plus point is you can use any terry cloth no expensive refill required. Come with a pack of descaler tablets as well

  I've got this and it'd excellent. Great for tiles and the steam tank holds a lot of water to get a large surface area cleaned. Previously had a Kenwood and a cheapie from Ausvac, neither held a candle to the Karcher.

  Fyi cost on this at the good guys is $169 (that's what I paid 6+ months ago - priced by a friend who's the manager), so while a good price at $198 there's a bit of cream still, maybe try and negotiate a further discount.
