Return Goods to China - 12kg 30x30x50 SEA MAIL OK Contains Lithium Batteries

So I have to return some goods to China that arrived non-functioning in order to recieve a Paypal refund. Problem is the postage to return for the package is a killer!

I've tried pack and send, tnt, fedex, and Aus post but all too expensive or unable to send due to lithium batteries.. (the package contains 1000 batteries CR2032).

Any ideas???

Sea mail is fine but I can't really find a solution..

Not saying it will happen to you but have see where people have returned faulty junk only to be told item not received. They say YOU must have put the wrong address on it. :-(

Another trick the sneaky players get up to is to claim the returned item is working ok and ask you to pay return postage. :-( They know most people wont want to get stung twice….

Bit of an old scam this… return post for faulty items cost more than the item. Works well with sellers passing off counterfeit memory sticks.

The odd item that I have had problem with I provided the supplier with a video of the product defect happening. Decent retailers just replace the item, others play the high cost return game.

    Good luck.

I've been stung by this scam before. Paypal wont protect you unless you can prove (with a invoice) the destination address. Some couriers exclude this information from the invoice.

    Any ideas???

    Shop local

    • The only think you can do is learn from the lesson.

I would not risk retuning it as they will just deny receipt or claim it is working then hit you up with return postage.

Don't buy anything over $20 from os sellers… there's no warranty, no consumer rights, no support from ebay or paypal.
Ebay and paypal are only interested in their income and they get from high volume sellers even if they are selling shonky items. One off buyers are an inconvenience to them and bring little $'s their way.

  • i take it that this item was sourced for resale? if yes, then you can write it off.
