  • I am considering buying one from DWI, as the GG one is only 2 GB Ram. Can we be sure the one from DWI supports ALL the 2G, 3G and 4G (current and future) band frequencies?

Give them a call to find out.

  • If I was engineering this phone, I would move the LG logo to the top left or right, and use the space on the bottom bezel for capacitive buttons. If you don't like capacitive buttons for some reason, then you can use that space for a second speaker.

    • You mean like S5? Maybe you should just get a S5. I swapped from S5 to G3 exactly bc of its lip! When watching movies in landscape mode on S5 i kept pressing on the capacitive buttons and couldnt hold the phone securely (no case). I find the lip on G3 is perfect to hold on to phone.

      • What are you using to watch movies on? If you're using MX Player like I am, just lock the screen.

Or you know, hold your phone differently. I hold it by the edges.

I like turning on the screen with the home (physical) button. It beats reaching for the button on the upper right side to turn the screen on.

As for S5, it's not a directly comparable phone. S5 is only 1080p and screen is slightly smaller. A more direct comparison would be Note 4, which is what I would prefer, but it's also a lot more expensive.

        • In terms of screensize having had them side by side i think actual usable screen size is comparable. Yes G3 is larger by spec but with the bottom 1cm taken up by the nav buttons which makes usable size similar to S5. I feel it is comparable by screen realestate as a result.

I use Rock Player and have G3 hide the nav buttons in that app so i get the full screen.

I like watching on the go too so i tend to hold it with one hand. Can't do two hands around the edges. Just goes to show people relly have to think about their habit of use rather than basing purchase decision on specs.

        • @hippo2s: I guess it also depends on what case you use. If you have a smart flip open case, you can hold it by the flap if you're going one handed.

        • @lostn:

Hate using those… you have a beautiful phone…cover it with cheap leather

        • @hippo2s: They're good. They allow you to speak with the flap closed, so your sweaty and grimy ears/face don't smear the screen with filth. Also, they turn the screen on when you open it, and off when you close it. Convenient. And of course they protect the screen when it's in your pocket or gets dropped..

  • Who would buy this while local stock with local warranty from TGG is $480 inc shipping???

    • So neg it. Neg it nege neg neg it.
